Alisha Mahen

Alisha is a Senior Associate for Instruction Design at Acumen, where she designs immersive online learning courses and experiences. Previously, she taught in elementary classrooms in India for five years, first as a Teach for India Fellow and then as a charter school teacher. She also developed the content and the learning experience for a social-emotional learning online platform for a US-based educational organization. Motivated by her experiences with underserved populations in India, she continues to empower community voices through human-centered design in the US. Alisha holds an MFA in Design for Social Innovation from the School of Visual Arts, NY, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Delhi.
