Sean Pintchovski, PhD

Vice President, Biology at AcureX Therapeutics

Sean Pintchovski, PhD has extensive experience in the field of biology and neuroscience. Sean began their career in 2002 as a Neuroscience Graduate Student in the Laboratory of Dr. Steven M. Finkbeiner at The J. David Gladstone Institute of Neurological Disease at UCSF. Sean then went on to become a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Laboratory of Dr. Guriqbal S. Basi at Elan in 2008. In 2010, they joined Lundbeck as a Research Scientist in Neuroinflammation, where they were promoted to Senior Research Scientist in Neuroinflammation in 2013. In 2015, they joined BioElectron Technology Corporation as a Group Leader in Neuroscience, which was acquired by PTC Therapeutics in 2019. In 2019, they joined Precision Medicine Group as Director of Neurology, where they drove multi-site research programs and collaborated with clinical trial sponsors. Most recently, in 2020, they joined AcureX Therapeutics as Vice President of Biology and Director of Biology.

Sean Pintchovski, PhD obtained their B.S. with Honors in Biology from Caltech in 2001. Sean then went on to obtain their Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of California, San Francisco in 2007.
