Sr. Director, Go To Market at ACV Auctions

Ryan Story has a diverse work experience over the years. Ryan began their career in 2006 as a Sales Associate at CGI Communications, where they managed a team of sales associates and coordinated the division's strategic direction. In 2007, they worked as an Instructional Support Teacher at Urban Choice Charter School, providing one-on-one coaching and tutoring to low-income, high-risk students.

In 2008, Ryan joined Brady Corporation as a National Account Manager, where they developed marketing programs and collaborated with internal and external teams to set up an international supply chain program. Ryan was responsible for significant growth in national accounts.

From 2012 to 2018, Ryan worked at Peerless Inc, starting as a Market Manager-OEM, accountable for customer satisfaction and incremental growth in the Oil and Gas and Water Treatment Industries. Ryan then transitioned to the role of Value Strategist-Procore, working with engineered equipment manufacturers to navigate evolving standards and streamline their processes. Finally, as Manager New Business Development, they helped acquire customers for the company.

In 2018, Ryan joined ACV Auctions as an Inside Sales Manager, gradually moving up to Director of Major Accounts and Fleet Lease. Ryan built ACV's major account management and client services, and later became the Director of Go To Market. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director of Go To Market.

In 2021, Ryan additionally joined Pavilion as an Executive Member and Associate Chapter Head of the Phoenix Chapter. Overall, they have demonstrated leadership, expertise in sales and account management, as well as a passion for education and supporting disadvantaged students.

Ryan Story holds an MBA in General Management from the University at Buffalo School of Management, The State University of New York. Ryan also has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration/Marketing from SUNY Brockport. In addition to their educational background, Ryan has obtained several certifications including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Meliora Consulting Group, Inc. and various certifications from Pavilion and Winning by Design in areas such as revenue growth, leadership execution, and sales playbook implementation.
