Abdurahman Alsum

Abdurahman Alsum serves as the Executive Director of ESG at ACWA Power since November 2022 and previously held the position of GM, Sustainability at Saudi Mining Services Company ESNAD from June 2021 to October 2022. With a robust background in sustainability, Alsum has worked at Maaden from May 2012 to July 2020, where key contributions included developing a 10-year corporate sustainability strategy, mapping sustainability risks, and creating a community engagement maturity matrix. Prior roles also include positions at WAFI International LLC as Strategy Director, BAE Systems as SHE Advisor, and Shell as Outbound Logistics Manager/HSSE Lead. Alsum holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University and multiple certifications in sustainability and safety management.
