Driss Berraho

Vice President Business Development - Green Hydrogen (head) at ACWA Power

Driss Berraho has a diverse work experience that spans across various roles and industries. Driss started their career as a Lieutenant in the French Foreign Legion from September 2007 to May 2008. Driss then worked as an Analyst at the International Energy Agency in April 2010. Following that, they joined AREVA as an Intern Economic Studies from September 2011 to February 2012. In March 2012, they became a Project Manager at Nur Energie in Morocco.

From December 2013 to December 2017, Driss worked as a Business Development Manager at ACWA Power. Driss then progressed to become a Senior Manager in Business Development at ACWA Power, serving from January 2018 to January 2020. Subsequently, they worked as an Executive Manager in Business Development from January 2020 to June 2021. Driss then transitioned to the role of Director of Business Development in Renewables & Green Hydrogen from June 2021 to August 2022. Following this, Driss held the position of Executive Director of Business Development - Green Hydrogen at ACWA Power from January 2022 to August 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Business Development - Green Hydrogen (Head) at ACWA Power, starting from July 2023.

In addition to their work at ACWA Power, Driss also served as the Commercial Director at NEOM Green Hydrogen Company from September 2021 to August 2023.

Driss Berraho completed their high school education at Lycee Lyautey, where they earned a "Baccalauréat Scientifique - Spécialité Mathématiques" degree from 1997 to 2005. Driss then attended Lycee Sainte-Genevieve from 2005 to 2007, studying Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in preparation for further education. From 2007 to 2011, Driss attended École Polytechnique and obtained a degree in Energy, specifically as an Ingénieur de l'École Polytechnique. In 2010 to 2011, they also pursued additional studies at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, specializing in Sustainable Energy Engineering and earning a Civilingenjör degree.
