Omair Iqbal

Omair Iqbal, CTP, has a strong background in corporate finance and investment banking. Omair is currently the Director of Corporate Finance at ACWA Power, where they oversee financial activities for the largest developer and operator of power and water desalination projects in the GCC region. Prior to this role, Omair held positions at Union National Bank, HBL - Habib Bank Limited, Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited, Askari Bank Limited, Crosby Securities Pakistan, and Edge Financials, where they gained experience in syndications, structured finance, investment banking, and research analysis. Omair is skilled in financial modeling, credit assessment, and industry research.

Omair Iqbal, CTP has a strong educational background in finance. Omair completed their MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Com degree in Finance from Govt. Commerce and Economics College, Karachi from 2003 to 2004. Omair also holds an Intermediate degree in Commerce from Commecs Institute of Business Education, which they obtained from 2000 to 2002. In addition to their academic qualifications, Omair has obtained certifications in Corporate Finance & Credit Training Program from JPMorgan Chase & Co. and is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certified by the Association for Financial Professionals, both in 2023.
