Michael Bijnens

Michael Bijnens is an experienced professional currently working as a psychotherapeut in opleiding at Adagio since April 2022 and previously served as a psycholoog. Concurrently, Michael has been engaged as a toneelschrijver with various organizations including NTGent, Younggangsters, Bronks, KVS, ITA, Wunderbaum, Orkater, and Laika since July 2013. Additionally, Michael has been a docente drama at LUCA School of Arts since February 2021 and has held writing positions at Uitgeverij Pluim since September 2018 and Atlas Contact from September 2013 to July 2018. Michael’s educational background includes ongoing studies in psychotherapie at RINO Groep (2024-2028) and psychoanalytische therapie at Ghent University (2022-2026), alongside previous degrees in klinische psychologie and theaterregie en schrijven from the Open Universiteit and Erasmushogeschool Brussel respectively. A foundational study in Duitse taal- en letterkunde was completed at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (2008-2009).
