Prior to that, Barry worked at Coutts & Co as a Private Banker, overseeing offshore and inpatriate clients from Southern Europe. Barry started their career as a Graduate Trainee at HBOS and holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Strathclyde. Barry completed their secondary education at Port Glasgow High School.
