Ted Wood has over 15 years of work experience in the electrical industry. Ted started their career as an Electrician Apprentice at PORT CITY ELECTRIC in 2004, where they gained hands-on experience and supported senior electricians in bid and estimation processes. Ted then worked as an Electrical Estimator at PORT CITY ELECTRIC, where they were awarded several projects and achieved significant gross profits. In 2007, Ted joined Adams Electric Company as an Assistant Project Manager and later became an Electrical Estimator, playing a key role in the estimation of multi-million dollar projects. At Adams Electric, they re-engineered estimating software and streamlined processes for speed and accuracy. Ted's most recent role at Adams Electric is as the Senior Chief Estimator, where they manage estimating processes, conducts research for accurate pricing, and communicates with customers to define project scopes and build relationships. Ted is currently serving as the Vice President of Preconstruction for the Charlotte branch of Adams Electric Company, a position they have held since November 2022.

Ted Wood attended UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business from 1994 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Financial Management.
