Justin Lawrence

Justin supports the Private Credit Team in all aspects of the decision-making process, including sourcing, structuring, reviewing, and negotiating deal opportunities.

Prior to joining Adams Street, he was a Vice President at Ares Management LLC. In this role, he led the underwriting process and deal execution, including conducting in-depth due diligence, managing deal teams in preparation of investment analyses, structuring and pricing of capital structures, negotiating legal documentation, and managing third-party syndication processes. Additional responsibilities included sourcing investment opportunities from private equity sponsors, investment banks, and intermediaries.

Prior to Ares, he was an Associate with MidOcean Partners, and held an Investment Banking Analyst position at Merrill Lynch & Company.

Justin is a member of Adams Street’s Private Credit Investment Committee, Portfolio Construction Committee, and the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee.
