Bendon Murgor

Bendon Murgor is an experienced technology professional with a strong background in software development, systems engineering, and leadership roles. Bendon has held various positions in different companies, starting with their role as a Systems Administrator at DICTS - Makerere University in 2007. Bendon then worked as a Web Admin and Designer, Systems Developer at United Media Consultants & Trainers before joining Tamuko Technologies Ltd as a Systems Engineer. In 2011, Murgor became an IT Consultant at DIG-Developing Innovations Group and subsequently served as the Head of IT/Senior Software Developer at E-Mobile Communications Ltd. Bendon then worked as a Principal Systems Engineer at Intelligent Technologies Ltd, where they provided expertise in systems design and analysis. Murgor also has experience as a Founder/Technical Director at EdgeTech Consults Ltd, where they played a leadership role in guiding the team and driving business negotiations. In 2019, they founded MyPaylend and served as the Chairman and Founder before becoming the Chief Executive Officer. Murgor also co-founded Ada Labs Africa in 2020, where they served as the Co-Founder and CTO. Their most recent role is as the Chief Technology Officer at Afya Rekod Limited, where they spearhead technology strategy and product innovation.

Bendon Murgor graduated from Makerere University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Information Technology degree in Computer and Information Sciences. Prior to that, they attended Bugema Adventist College from 2003 to 2004, where they completed their Advanced Level studies in Applied Sciences. Bendon also attended Kapsabet Boys High School from 1999 to 2002, where they completed their Ordinary Level studies in General High School. Additionally, Bendon Murgor has obtained certifications in HCIA-AI Course from Huawei, IBM Data Science Professional Certificate from IBM, and ITIL V3 from ITIL Certified.
