Adaptation Fund
Sylviane Bilgischer is an experienced professional in the fields of investment management, climate policies, and renewable energy. Currently serving as an Investment Manager for Energy Transition at Wallonie Entreprendre since September 2021, Sylviane specializes in financial analysis and project management for renewable energy initiatives in the Walloon Region. Sylviane has also held a dual role as an Investment Manager and Board member for the Adaptation Fund since March 2017, contributing to the board's efforts since COP 22. Previous roles include advising the Walloon Government on circular economy and climate policies, and serving as a Climate and Carbon Market Advisor at the Walloon Air & Climate Agency. Sylviane has extensive experience with international organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme, where responsibilities included managing disaster risk and climate change adaptation projects. Sylviane holds a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering and a Master's in Management.

Adaptation Fund
Since 2010, the Adaptation Fund has committed about US$ 1.1 billion for climate change adaptation and resilience projects and programmes, including over 165 concrete localized adaptation projects in the most vulnerable communities of developing countries around the world with over 43 million total beneficiaries. It also pioneered Direct Access, empowering countries to access funding and develop projects directly through accredited national implementing entities.
