Ivana Ferjentsikova

Ivana Ferjentsikova, PhD, serves as a Clinical Trial Support Specialist and Protein and Cell Engineering Senior Scientist at Adaptimmune since September 2016. In this role, Ivana focuses on enhancing T-cell receptor (TCR) affinity through mutation selection, affinity maturation, and the systematic screening of TCR candidate mutations, employing advanced techniques such as flow cytometry for cellular activation characterization. With a strong background in project management, internal and external collaboration, and intellectual property processes, Ivana also contributes to health and environmental safety assessments as part of the Biological and Genetic Modification Safety Committee. Prior to Adaptimmune, Ivana was a Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham from 2010 to 2016, where research centered on transcriptional regulatory networks in Arabidopsis. Ivana holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague.
