Sam Nicaise

Sam Nicaise is an accomplished research engineer with extensive experience in the biotechnology and engineering sectors. Currently, Sam is employed as a Research Engineer at both Digital Biotechnologies and Adaptive Biotechnologies Corp. Since July 2018, Sam has served as a Scientific Advisor at Avisi Technologies, focusing on nanoscale plate materials for glaucoma treatment. Previous roles include Materials Engineer at Modern Electron, where significant contributions were made to clean tech innovations, and Senior Technical Development Engineer at nLIGHT, leading advancements in nanophotonics for high power semiconductor lasers. Sam holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in the same field from the University of Kentucky. The early career includes internship experience at Intel Corporation and research assistant positions at both the University of Kentucky and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
