Sam Burns

Sam Burns is an experienced professional in laboratory automation and programming, currently serving as a Senior Laboratory Automation Engineer at Adaptyv since August 2025. Prior roles include Senior Programming Engineer - QC at Tempus AI, where Sam developed applications for liquid handling automation software, and Senior Automation Scientist at Q² Solutions, focusing on automated techniques for DNA/RNA sample preparation. With a solid foundation in automation engineering from Genentech, which included roles as Automation Engineer 2 and Technical Development Scientist 1, Sam has led the development of various automated methods and contributed to improvements in laboratory workflows.
