Ben Docherty

Ben Docherty is a Security Engineering Specialist at Adarma Security since August 2023, with extensive experience in cybersecurity and IT consulting. As the founder of BSides Newcastle since September 2019, Docherty has successfully organized both virtual and physical information security events, focusing on bringing international talent to the northeastern community. Previous roles include Head of Engineering at CloudGuard AI, Security Engineering Team Lead at Quorum Cyber, and IT Security Consultant at NTE Limited, where Docherty built a cybersecurity practice tailored for SMBs. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from De Montfort University and various IT qualifications from institutions such as iTec and South Tyneside College.
