Nicolas Benito Wörmann

Nicolas Benito Wörmann has an extensive work experience in the legal field, primarily focused on the public security and identity sectors. Nicolas is currently the Vice President Legal - Public Security & Identity at IDEMIA since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Thales Digital Identity and Security (previously Gemalto) as the Vice-President Legal - Identity & Biometric Solutions from April 2019 to March 2022. Nicolas also served as the General Counsel in various roles at Gemalto, including the Government Business Unit, Government Programs & General Counsel Africa/ Middle-East, the SECURITY Business Unit, and Europe. Before joining Gemalto, they worked as the EMEA General Counsel at Axalto and held legal positions at Thales Communications, Alstom T&D, Cegelec, and Bouygues Bâtiment International.

Nicolas BENITO WÖRMANN completed their education in a chronological manner. Nicolas started by earning a Baccalauréat B from Lycée Français de Barcelone in 1988. In the same year, they also completed an Année Préparatoire at Sciences Po. Following that, they pursued their education at the University of Montpellier from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a Maîtrise de droit privé européen et international. In 1993, they studied at Université Toulouse 1 Capitole, specialising in European Law and receiving a D.E.A. Droit communautaire. In 1994, they enrolled at the Université Toulouse 1 Capitole again and obtained a D.E.S.S. Juriste International, focusing on International Business, Trade, and Tax Law. Lastly, in 1988, they completed Selectivitat at Universitat de Barcelona, and in 1985, they attended Laguna Beach HIGH School for their Junior Year.
