Jess Akamine

Jess serves as Adasina’s Compliance Specialist, supporting and implementing all compliance initiatives across the firm. They bring over a decade of industry experience in regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, and process optimization. Jess believes financial markets and institutions wield a tremendous amount of untapped potential to effect social change through their investment strategies, which is squandered in a relentless chase for returns. Jess has joined the team at Adasina after a long hunt for an organization that doesn’t compromise on the values they aim to protect in their mission.

Prior to joining Adasina, Jess managed a Derivatives Legal and Compliance Team at a global asset management firm in which they led the implementation of several major regulatory initiatives, including the Dodd Frank Protocols and the Uncleared Margin Rules. Jess is a keen and attentive analyst of the law and an expert manager of highly technical projects, ready to take on the greatest legal and compliance challenges facing this growing firm.
