Julianne Zimmerman has extensive work experience spanning from 2011 to present. Julianne is currently the Managing Director at Adasina Social Capital, where they lead a diverse team committed to making large-scale, systemic change through investments in financial markets. Julianne also holds the role of All in on durable, transformative, reparative systems change at Undeclared.

In addition to their current roles, Julianne has served as a Member of the Shift Narratives in Innovative Finance Advisory Board at Criterion Institute and as the Co-Chair of the Capital Committee at Browning the Green Space.

Julianne has also been involved in academia, working as a Lecturer at Tufts University Gordon Institute since 2017, teaching a top-rated course on Innovative Social Enterprises.

Julianne was also the Managing Director and GP at Reinventure Capital, an investment firm that exclusively supports US-based companies led and controlled by BIPOC and/or female founders. Julianne held this position from 2016 to 2023.

Additionally, Julianne served as a Board Member at Flocktory, a Moscow-based startup that was later acquired by Qiwi. Julianne held this position from 2012 to 2017.

Julianne Zimmerman holds a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed between 1984 and 1988. Julianne also earned a second Bachelor's degree in Humanities/Literature from MIT during the same time period. Zimmerman further pursued their education with a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, which they attained between 1993 and 1996. Later, in 2011, they obtained an Executive Certificate in Sustainability Management from the Presidio Graduate School. Additionally, they have acquired a certification called CRT Summer School from The African American Policy Forum in 2021, although the specific month is not mentioned.
