Paul Wolstenholme-Hogg has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry and academia. Paul started their career as a Post Doc research fellow at the University of Leeds in 1998, followed by a role as a Post Doc at Avecia in 1999. Paul obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with a First Class distinction in Chemistry from the University of Leeds, where they studied from 1991 to 1994. Paul then transitioned to the industry and worked as an Industrial Postdoc Research Fellow at Avecia from 1999 to 2000, where they specialized in asymmetric catalysis.

In 2005, Paul Wolstenholme-Hogg decided to further expand their knowledge and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Open University Business School. Paul completed their MBA program in Business from 2005 to 2008.
