Andrew Hopkins

Andrew Hopkins has extensive experience in business development and corporate development. Andrew began their career in 2004 as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for Quintiles. In 2007, they held a Strategic Planning Intern role at Amylin Pharmaceuticals and a Market Research Team Leader role at Navigant Biotechnologies. From 2008 to 2013, they were employed at Campbell Alliance (now Syneos Health Consulting), where they held various roles, including Senior Engagement Manager - Commercial Center of Excellence, Engagement Manager, Senior Consultant, and Consultant. From 2013 to 2020, Hopkins worked at Vical, progressing from Executive Director, Corporate Development, to Senior Director, Corporate Development, Director, Corporate Development and Project Management, Associate Director, Corporate Development, and Associate Director, Biotech Product Marketing. Most recently, they were a Senior Director, Business Development at Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. from 2020 to 2022. Currently, Hopkins is the Vice President, Business Development at Adcentrx Therapeutics, a biotechnology company focused on accelerating breakthroughs in protein conjugate therapeutic development for cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Andrew Hopkins obtained a Master's Degree from the Keck Graduate Institute, where they focused on the Business of Bioscience. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Cape Town, where they studied Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Virology. Andrew also holds a High School Diploma (IEB) from St Johns College.
