Morten Haug Emilsen

Morten holds an MSc in Fluid Engineering. He has lead Add Energy’s Blowout group since 2015 and is a well control advisor with experience from a number of blowouts worldwide including Aliso Canyon, Macondo, and Montara. He specializes in transient multiphase flow simulations and drilling related technical software development and has 25 years of experience with the OLGA software.

His competence within flow assurance has been utilized on a number of major field developments, conceptual studies, detailed engineering projects, topside process design as well as specialized applications like underbalanced/ managed pressure drilling application and multilateral well design.

Morten has authored / co-authored multiple technical papers, including the BP Deepwater Horizon Accident Investigation Report and testified as an expert witness in US District Court.
