Sarah Townsend possesses a diverse professional background with experience in social work, education, and community engagement. Currently, Sarah serves as a Leadership Academy 2.0 Fellow at Addiction Professionals of North Carolina and is a HRSA OWEP Scholar at the Health Resources and Services Administration. Previous roles include a Graduate Student Intern at Guilford County Solution to the Opioid Problem and a Graduate Teacher Assistant at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Additionally, Sarah has contributed to various organizations such as the North Carolina African Services Coalition, VIPKid, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and international teaching positions in Thailand. Sarah holds a Master of Social Work degree from both North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University.
