Andrey Molotnikov

Co-founder & Chief Scientist at Additive Assurance

Andrey Molotnikov is an Associate Professor of Additive Manufacturing at RMIT University, where research focuses on metal and polymer additive manufacturing, architectured materials, modeling, and ICME-based alloy development. Serving also as Deputy Director at the RMIT Centre for Additive Manufacturing and co-founder of Additive Assurance, Andrey has extensive experience in research leadership, particularly in fostering collaborations with European industry partners as evidenced by the role as RMIT Europe Research Director. Prior positions include Senior Lecturer and Lecturer at Monash University, where Andrey's research encompassed computational materials science and severe plastic deformation. Andrey holds a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Monash University and a Dipl. Mathematics from Technische Universität Clausthal.

Additive Assurance provides solutions for quality assurance of components made with additive manufacturing. Specialising in metal powder bed fusion techniques (SLM, DLMS, SLS etc.) our patent pending in-situ analysis method allows for the rapid detection of faults and variation in the AM process, allowing the user to take control of their AM builds.
