Johannes Brandstetter is a highly accomplished professional in the field of physics and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as Co-Founder and Chief Scientist at Emmi AI since February 2025, Johannes also holds the position of Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) and Group Lead at Johannes Kepler Universität Linz, starting in October 2023. Prior to these roles, Johannes was Chief Researcher at NXAI from February 2024 to February 2025 and a Senior Researcher at Microsoft from January 2022 to January 2024, where Johannes also engaged as a Visiting Researcher. Earlier experience includes a Visiting Researcher role at the University of Amsterdam under the ELLIS program from January 2021 to January 2022. Johannes Brandstetter obtained a Doctor of Technical Sciences (PhD) in Particle Physics from Technische Universität Wien in January 2018, following a Bachelor and Master of Science in Physics from the same institution, completed in January 2014.
