Melanie Styers

Melanie Styers currently serves as the Associate Director of Medical and Scientific Communications at Adela, Inc. since August 2025. Previously, Melanie held various roles at BluPrint Oncology, including Senior Director and Director of Medical & Scientific Strategy, where expertise in content development and strategic project management was demonstrated. Before transitioning to the pharmaceutical industry, Melanie was Chair of Biology and Associate Professor at Birmingham-Southern College, and also founded EditBIOMED, focusing on scientific editing for the biomedical community. Melanie’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell and Developmental Biology from Emory University, and a B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Birmingham-Southern College.
