Leah Russell has worked in the marketing and business strategy field for over 30 years. Leah began their career at Johnson & Johnson (McNeil Consumer Products division) in 1990 as a Product Director of OTC Healthcare, where they directed multi-function teams to launch line-extensions and FDA submission products, created strategies to improve distribution and consumer appeal, and influenced brands such as Tylenol, Sine-Aid and Lactaid. In 1993, they moved to Colgate Palmolive as a Product Manager of Personal Care, where they managed all marketing activity on a $200MM Mennen Speed Stick portfolio and led a cross-functional team to launch the first major product improvement in 30 years for the brand. In 1995, they joined Diageo as a Senior Vice President of Group Director, where they directed all marketing and P&L activity on a variety of high-image brand portfolios with sales revenues to distributors ranging from $76MM to $130MM, and led the development of positioning, product and all Marketing and Sales elements to launch the award-winning Tanqueray No Ten. In 2013, Leah joined reacHIRE as part of the Launch Team for Strategy and Marketing, where they partnered with the founder to launch the company dedicated to helping exceptional women successfully transition back to work after a voluntary career break and was deeply involved in the strategic, operational and marketing aspects of the day-to-day business. Finally, in 2018, Leah joined Adelante as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Vice President of Brand and Marketing.
Leah Russell attended Colgate University, where they earned a B.A. in Biology and Psychology. Leah then went on to Columbia Business School, where they earned an M.B.A. Additionally, they obtained an Inbound Marketing certification from HubSpot Academy.
