Andrea Chavez, MBA, MSSCM, has extensive experience in supply chain management and leadership roles within the healthcare industry. Andrea most recently served as Vice President of Supply Chain at Adena Health System. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President of Supply Chain Operations at both Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance and DHR Health. Before their roles in supply chain operations, Andrea worked as a Supply Chain Director at HealthTrust Purchasing Group, where they were responsible for overseeing all supply chain functions in a hospital facility. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Purchasing Manager/Project Manager at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance Health System and as a Purchasing Agent/Sr. Buyer at Valley Baptist Health System. Andrea has a strong background in sourcing and negotiating medical supplies and capital equipment, as well as managing department staff and implementing policies and procedures. Andrea is skilled in project management, budgeting, and collaborating with senior leadership.
Andrea Chavez, MBA, MSSCM, completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville in 2007. In 2018, they furthered their education by earning a Master of Science degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University. In 2022, Andrea pursued a Data Science and Business Analytics Certification from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
