Richard Ash has over 20 years of work experience in the pharmacy industry. Richard started their career at Kroger in 2000, where they worked as a Pharmacy Tech/Intern/Grad Intern until 2012. In 2011, they joined Adena Health System as a Pharmacy Intern (Temp)/Graduate Intern and later held various roles including Pharmacy Team Lead/Staff/Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Operations Manager, and currently serves as the Director of Pharmacy Operations. Richard has extensive experience in managing pharmacy technicians, order entry/verification, prospective DUR, IV compounding/verification, and pharmacokinetic dosing. Richard is also trained in USP 797 guidelines for IV compounding and is responsible for Pyxis refills and responding to code blue/rapid response incidents.
Richard Ash holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Ohio Christian University, which they obtained from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at Duquesne University from 2007 to 2011. Richard also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from Ohio Dominican University, earned from 2002 to 2007. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications in ACLS, CPR/BLS, Immunization Delivery, MTM, and PALS from various institutions such as the American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, and American Pharmacists Association.
