Ana Rita Sousa

Senior Art Director / Creative Lead at Adidas

Ana Rita Sousa has a wealth of experience in art direction, design, and photography. Ana Rita has worked as a Senior Art Director/Creative Lead at adidas/Studio A since April 2019, and previously held the same position at adidas starting in August 2020. Ana has also worked as a freelance designer since 2010, specializing in art direction and photography. Additionally, they have experience as a photographer at ILYWYS and as a digital designer + art director at Reebok. Ana Rita co-owned G'day Byron Bay, an advertising agency, from January 2014 to August 2016. Ana has also worked as a freelance designer at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and Anomaly, and as an experience designer at Code Magazine.

Ana Rita Sousa completed a 5-year course in Industrial Design at the Escola Superior de Artes e Design from 2003 to 2008. During this time, they studied various subjects including History and Design Critic, Semiotics, Art Direction, Cultural Studies, and Printing Techniques. In 2007, they also pursued a degree in Product Design at the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, where they focused on Critical Approaches for Art Writing and Contemporary Art Worlds. As part of their continuous learning, they completed a course on Introduction to Virtual Reality at Coursera in 2018.
