João Pereira

João Pereira is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in leading data science initiatives, particularly in the realms of demand forecasting and content intelligence. Currently serving as Data Science Lead - Content Intelligence at adidas since March 2021, João directs the development of Generative AI products that enhance product discovery and personalization for millions of users. Prior roles include Technical Lead - Demand Forecasting at adidas, where João spearheaded projects that significantly impacted sales and inventory management, and various positions across leading companies such as Belastingdienst, ASML, and Van Lanschot Kempen, focusing on machine learning applications ranging from image recognition to process optimization. João holds an Engineering Doctorate in Data Science from Eindhoven University of Technology and a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, complemented by an Erasmus+ exchange at Université catholique de Louvain.
