Niek van der Straaten

Niek van der Straaten has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Niek began their career as a Trainee/production assistant at D&D Mechatronics in 2006 and then worked as a Trainee/mechanic at Leo van Schaijik in 2008. Niek also had a Trainee role at AAE bv in 2008 and later became a Trainee at Advitronics Telecom B.V. in 2009. In 2011, Niek joined Lagotronics Projects BV as a Trainee and then moved on to work at LEDs-buy from 2011 to 2015, where they held various responsibilities including customer advice, developer, and product manager.

In 2014, Niek joined Van Lent Systems B.V. as an Engineer Internship, where they worked on the development of a Social Therapeutic Robot. Niek was involved in setting up project requirements, developing robot intelligence, and generating appropriate reactions based on the robot's emotion and character. In 2015, they joined Videology Imaging Solutions, Inc. as an Application Engineer before eventually joining Adimec Advanced Image Systems bv in 2017. At Adimec, they initially worked as an Application & Product Support Engineer and later transitioned into the role of a Field Application Engineer in October 2019.

Niek van der Straaten began their education journey at SG Stevensbeek, where they pursued a degree that is unknown. After that, they attended ROC Nijmegen from 2007 to 2011 to study middle management in industrial automated systems. Following this, they enrolled at HAN Arnhem from 2009 to 2011 for a course in math and digital technology. In 2011, Niek enrolled at Avans University of Applied Sciences, specializing in embedded system engineering and earning a Bachelor's degree. During their time at Avans, they also completed a minor in embedded vision design at HAN Hogeschool Arnhem from 2013 to 2014.
