Akshay Patwa, CFA

Akshay Patwa, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Akshay started their career as an Intern at KPMG in 2008 and continued in that role until 2011. Following that, they joined Landmark Group as an Assistant Manager from May 2011 to June 2014. Akshay then moved to Chalhoub Group where they worked as a Chief Accountant from July 2014 to March 2018. In 2018, they joined HUGO BOSS as a Financial Controller and stayed in that role until March 2019. Currently, Akshay is working at Aditya Birla Global Trading (formerly Swiss Singapore) as a Finance Manager starting from March 2019 and recently transitioned into the role of Senior Finance Manager from July 2021.

Akshay Patwa, CFA, has a strong education background in finance and accounting. Akshay began their academic journey in 2005, earning a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree from the Department of Management Studies at Jai Narain Vyas University in Jodhpur. During their undergraduate studies, Akshay focused on financial analysis, financial reporting, taxation, statistics, and quantitative techniques.

In 2008, they continued their education at the same university, pursuing a Master of Commerce degree with a specialization in investment management. This program provided him with a deeper understanding of investment strategies and management.

Simultaneously, Akshay pursued their professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. From 2006 to 2011, they completed a comprehensive course covering financial reporting, financial management, auditing, laws, taxation, and management accounting.

Throughout their educational journey, Akshay also obtained several certifications to enhance their expertise. Akshay acquired the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in February 2022. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management from the National Stock Exchange of India Limited in February 2011. In October 2017, Akshay completed the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) certification from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Looking towards the future, Akshay plans to further their education by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Alliance Manchester Business School in 2023-2024. This program will equip him with a broad understanding of business administration and management.
