Dean Phelps

Dean Phelps is a Patent Attorney at Adler Pollock & Sheehan P.C. since November 2022, specializing in drafting patent applications for new compositions and methods of use. Prior experience includes serving as a Patent Associate at Verrill, where engagement with inventors and small businesses led to preparation and prosecution of US and PCT patent applications across various technologies. Dean held the role of Patent Attorney at Arent Fox, focusing on strategizing patent wins for a diverse range of technologies, and also worked at Posternak Blankstein & Lund LLP as a Patent Associate. A former Scientist at Takeda Oncology and GlaxoSmithKline, Dean contributed to innovative treatment developments through extensive practical experience in multiple scientific methodologies. Dean holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MBA from North Carolina State University, and a JD in Intellectual Property Law from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
