Maricela García Castañeda is an accomplished biochemist currently serving as an Associate Scientist at adMare BioInnovations since October 2023. Prior to this role, Maricela held the position of Research Assistant Laboratory Manager at The University of British Columbia from August 2019 to October 2023, and worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Rochester Medical Center from January 2017 to July 2019. Earlier in the career, Maricela was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados del IPN from July 2016 to January 2017. Maricela's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry obtained from Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados del IPN in June 2016, a M.Sc. in Biochemistry from the same institution completed in June 2011, and a degree as a Pharmaceutical Chemist Biologist from Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas earned in June 2009.
