Nick Ellis has a diverse work experience in the fields of marketing, advertising, and public relations. In 2013, while studying at university, they worked as a PR Assistant at Effusive PR, where they suggested marketing and social media strategies for bands and artists. Nick then continued to work part-time at the company, implementing these strategies and handling social media for specified artists.
In 2016, Nick joined hps group as a Digital Advertising Executive, where they wrote social posts and advertising copy for clients such as MINI, PlayStation, and STABILO. Nick also managed social media channels, conducted keyword research for SEO, and developed cross-channel promotions. Later, they were promoted to the role of Organic & Paid Social Executive and took on additional responsibilities such as client briefing and digital strategy development for campaigns, particularly for PlayStation. Nick's time at hps group lasted until 2017.
In 2017, Nick founded Theorycraft Marketing, a digital video game marketing and consulting company. Nick oversaw the company's growth, managed key accounts on a global scale, and assisted in the release of major video games and the effective scaling of indie games. That same year, they also founded a Social Media Advertising agency called Beat Digital Agency, catering to independent musicians in need of paid media advertising.
In 2018, Nick joined Blackmilk Media as a Founding Member and Global Campaign Manager (Gaming). Nick led paid media campaigns globally, focusing on PC/Console video game launches. Nick built and managed teams across global offices and bridged the gap between different continents and markets.
Currently, Nick is working at Admattic as the Chief Business Officer. Nick is responsible for launching and scaling Admattic worldwide and heads the London division. Admattic is an Ad Network that offers user acquisition, retargeting, and in-app video branding to advertisers. Nick collaborates with over 300 publishers globally and works closely with brands to achieve their mobile marketing goals.
Nick Ellis completed their A levels at Shiplake College from 2009 to 2011, where they studied Media Studies, Business Studies, and Music. Nick then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Popular Music at Leeds College of Music from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, they attended Westminster Business School and obtained a Master's degree in Marketing Communications, which they completed in 2015. The same year, they also earned a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute.
