Carrie Scott

Carrie Scott is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various legal roles. Currently serving as a Staff Attorney at the Administrative Office of the Courts of Georgia since November 2021, Carrie has previously held positions including Assistant County Attorney for Fulton County Government and DeKalb County Law Department, where duties involved drafting contracts, defending the county in civil litigation, and providing legal counsel to elected officials. As an Assistant Attorney General with the Georgia Department of Law, responsibilities included serving as primary counsel in trials, drafting appellate briefs, and negotiating settlements. Carrie began their legal career as a law clerk and intern in various legal settings, culminating in a Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
