William Will Gilmer

William “Will” Gilmer is Admiral’s Divisional Director for the District of Columbia. William Gilmer has over 23 years of experience in the security and safety industry. He began his security management career serving as the Account Manager for a large Montgomery County Communications site. He has held several other security management positions including Operations Manager and Client Value Manager. He was eventually promoted to District Manager in the District of Columbia and later Director of Operations for Maryland. While in these roles William was recognized on several occasions as the top performer in the local and regional markets. William was presented with four Manager of the year awards (2009, 2011, 2012 & 2014) and two Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager of the Year Awards (2012 & 2014).

Mr. Gilmer has been responsible for leading and overseeing large University, Medical, Retail and Commercial Real Estate portfolios. He has had the responsibility of directing teams as large as 1200 employees who were directly responsible for overseeing 30,000 hours per week in security officer coverage.

Mr. Gilmer is an active member of ASIS, and actively volunteers on boards and committees of local associations. He has a Master’s Degree in Theology and is constantly continuing his knowledge in the safety and security field.
