Nicolas Laurent's work experience began in 2002 as a Ph.D. student in Organic Chemistry at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1. After completing their Ph.D., they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Lyon and then at the University of Manchester from 2004 to 2009. In 2009, Laurent joined OZ Biosciences as an R&D Chemist until 2015 when they became Head of the Research Chemistry Department. Currently, they are the Director of the Research Chemistry Department at ADOCIA, a position they have held since August 2020.
Nicolas Laurent completed their education in a chronological manner. Nicolas started at the Université Blaise Pascal (Clermont-II) - Clermont-Ferrand in 1996, where they obtained a DEUG degree in Sciences in 1998. Following this, they pursued further studies at the Université de Limoges from 1998 to 2000, earning a Licence-Maitrise in Chemistry. Finally, they attended the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 from 2001 to 2002, where they obtained a DEA degree in Organic Chemistry.
