Jessica Toothaker

Jessica Toothaker, PhD, has a diverse work experience in scientific communications and research. Jessica is currently the Associate Director of Scientific Communications at Vaniam Group since July 2023. Previously, they worked at ProEd Communications where they served as the Associate Scientific Director from January 2023 to July 2023, and earlier as the Assistant Scientific Director from July 2022 to December 2022. Jessica also held the position of Scientific Associate at ProEd Communications from June 2021 to June 2022. Before joining the industry, they were a Visiting PhD Student Researcher at Yale University School of Medicine from July 2020 to June 2021, where they were completing their dissertation as part of their PhD program in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh, which they pursued from August 2017 to April 2021.

Jessica Toothaker, PhD received their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where they studied from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended Syracuse University from 2013 to 2017 and earned a Bachelor's of Science in Biology, General.
