Mary Johnson

Mary Johnson is a graduate student intern in the Pediatric Psychology department at Atrium Health Levine Children's, where support is provided to patients with long-term and terminal illnesses. Additionally, Mary serves as a board member for the Adoption Support Alliance, focusing on support for adoptees and adoptive families. As the founder and chief content strategist of Brave New Word LLC, a content marketing agency, Mary emphasizes brand voice and thought leadership. Previous roles include AVP of Communications at E4E Relief, Director of Digital Engagement at uBack, and founding editor of Bizwomen.com at American City Business Journals. Mary holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University and degrees in Journalism from Columbia University and the University of Florida.
