Michelle Clark is an experienced professional specializing in health policy, community engagement, and social work. Currently serving as the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Deputy Director of Assessment, Planning, and Community Engagement at Howard County Health Department since April 2023, Michelle has also been a Contractor Social Worker at FamilyWorks Together & Adoptions Together since January 2019, focusing on home studies for adoptive families. Previous roles include executive director positions at both the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus and the Maryland Rural Health Association, where Michelle led initiatives to enhance rural health services and advocacy. Additionally, Michelle held various positions in public service and healthcare, including director of the State Office of Rural Health and coordinator for research and evaluation at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Michelle holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame.
