Ian Simpson

Ian Simpson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ian is currently serving as the Head of Accounting at Adore Me since June 2023. Previously, they worked at Blue Apron as the Director, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting from March 2022 to June 2023. Prior to that, they held various positions at Blue Apron, including Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Accounting from March 2021 to August 2021, and Manager, Financial Reporting & Accounting from October 2019 to March 2021.

Before joining Blue Apron, Ian worked at KPMG, where they held the position of Audit Manager from July 2019 to October 2019. Ian also served as a Senior Audit Associate from July 2016 to June 2019 and as an Audit Associate from August 2015 to June 2016. Prior to KPMG, Ian gained experience as an Accounting Staff at Elliott Davis Decosimo from September 2014 to August 2015.

Ian's earlier work experience includes being a Graduate Assistant at The Ohio State University from August 2013 to April 2014, where they led and taught lab sections for introductory level Accounting students. Ian also worked as an Accounting Intern at Aramark Uniform Services from June 2012 to August 2012.

Ian Simpson completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting from the University of Kentucky, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they pursued a Masters of Accounting degree at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, Ian has obtained several certifications, including a Level 2 Award in Wines (with Distinction) from the WSET — Wine & Spirit Education Trust, and a Tidal Day Skipper certification from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA). Ian is also a Certified Public Accountant, having been certified by both the New York State Board for Public Accountancy and the Accountancy Board Of Ohio.
