Laura Bearden

Laura Bearden is an Associate Professor of Accounting at Adrian College. Laura has over 20 years of experience in the accounting field. Laura began their career at Owens Community College where they taught accounting and tax courses. Laura then went on to teach at Siena Heights University for 10 years. After that, Laura worked in public accounting for Boldt & Maloy for five years. Laura then returned to academia, first working at Adrian College as an adjunct professor before being promoted to their current position.

Laura Bearden's educational career began with their attending Adrian High School. After high school, they decided to study accounting and business/management at Siena Heights University and received their bachelor's degree. Finally, they furthered their education by obtaining their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in business administration and management from the University of Toledo.

Laura Bearden reports to Andrea R. Milner, VP, Dean of Academic Affairs. Laura Bearden works with Christine Knaggs - Dean of Graduate Studies and Institutional Effectiveness, Beth Heiss - Assistant Professor, Marketing, and Kristina Schweikert - Director, Institutional Research & Assessment.
