Evan M. Trent

Evan Trent was appointed as senior vice president, chief strategy and transformation officer in July 2022.

In his role, Trent is responsible for leading the company’s strategy, corporate development and transformation efforts. Trent is focused on accelerating the company’s performance across all value-creating activities to achieve greater scale and social impact. He joined Adtalem in 2019 as vice president, strategy and corporate development.

Prior to joining Adtalem, Trent served as chief operating officer at HBR Consulting, a leading consultancy to the world’s top law firms and the legal departments of the Fortune 500, where he was responsible for finance, HR, IT, marketing and strategy. Prior to that role, Trent served as the vice president, strategy and corporate development at Heidrick & Struggles (NASDAQ:HSII). Earlier in this career, Trent held various leadership roles across private equity, strategy and technology consulting.

Trent is actively engaged in civic leadership with a particular emphasis on education. He currently serves on the board of trustees for The Governor’s Academy, the nation’s oldest continuously operating independent school and his alma mater, and as chair of the board for Open Books.

Trent holds both a Bachelor of Arts in history and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
