Jennifer Hockenhull

Jennifer Hockenhull has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jennifer is currently working as the Financial Director at the Adult Congenital Heart Association since June 2022. Previously, they served as the CFO/Director of Management, Budget, and Grants at the City of Hartford from January 2021 to June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Assurance, Not for Profit at CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) from October 2019 to January 2021. Jennifer also worked as the Controller at Bastyr University from October 2018 to October 2019.

In their earlier career, Jennifer held the position of City Controller at the City of South Bend from April 2014 to October 2018, where they oversaw finance, budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, and accounts payable. Jennifer also assisted with the annual financial statement audit and annual CAFR preparation. Before that, they worked as the Senior Accountant at Lauren Davis & Co. CPA's, PC from January 2009 to April 2014.

Jennifer also has some experience in the education sector, having served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University South Bend in May 2013. Additionally, they worked as the Controller for Peacock & Company, a small remodeling company, from June 2007 to November 2008, where they were responsible for various accounting functions, HR, IT, payroll, payables, receivables, and general office duties.

Jennifer'searliest experience in their career includes their role as Supervisor at McGladrey from August 2003 to June 2007, where they were responsible for audits of medium-sized corporations and individual tax returns. Jennifer also served as the office IDEA Champion and conducted training sessions throughout the organization for the software.

Jennifer Hockenhull completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Accounting at Indiana University South Bend from 2001 to 2003. Jennifer obtained their Certified Public Accountant certification from the State of Washington in November 2010. In February 2019, they received their Not for Profit Certificate II from the AICPA. Most recently, in March 2023, they obtained a Diversity & Inclusion Certificate from Central Connecticut State University.
