Anil Jhawar

Chief Scientist at Aduro Clean Technologies

Anil Jhawar has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Anil started in 2006 at Western University, where they held positions as a Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant, and Graduate Research Assistant. During this time, they focused on designing and improving reactors, investigating hydrodynamics and heat transfer, and developing innovative procedures for various companies. In 2012, Anil joined Briens Consulting as a Consultant for a brief period before joining the Institute for Chemicals and Fuels from Alternative Resources (ICFAR) as a Postdoctoral Fellow. At ICFAR, they mentored students, designed and supervised the fabrication of pilot-scale equipment, and developed processes for upgrading bio-oil and lignin. In 2014, Anil returned to Western University as a Research Engineer, where they mentored and managed students and led projects involving essential oil production and extraction. Most recently, in 2020, they became the VP of Technology & Process Development at Aduro Clean Technologies Inc. Overall, Anil Jhawar's work experience spans research, engineering, mentoring, and process development.

Anil Jhawar obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering (Transport Phenomena) from Western University between 2008 and 2011. Prior to this, they earned a Master of Engineering Science (M.E.Sc) in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the same university, completing it in 2007. Anil's education journey began with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering from Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur University, Nagpur, which they completed from 2000 to 2004.
