Wally Walia

Wally Walia is a retired professional with extensive experience in quality management and process engineering. At ADVA Optical Networking, Wally served as Director of Quality Management from June 2004 until retirement, leading global efforts to establish a Quality Management System across all locations. Previously, Wally held the position of Director of Development Standards at McKesson Health IT, where responsibilities included defining software development processes based on CMMI assessments. Wally's career began at Nortel Networks, where roles included Senior Manager of Quality and Customer Value Management, overseeing the implementation of standards such as ISO9001, and Senior Manager of Manufacturing Process Engineering, focusing on process development and cost reduction. Wally holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Wayne State University. Currently, Wally is enjoying retirement while planning to pursue consulting opportunities.
