Richard Laing is an accomplished academic and professional with extensive experience in urban collaboration and built environment visualization. Currently serving as a Professor of Urban Collaboration at Northumbria University and a URBACT Validated Lead Expert, Richard Laing has held various prestigious positions, including Fellowship roles at Advance HE and The RSA, and a full membership in the EPSRC Peer Review College. Richard Laing's previous roles include Professor of Built Environment Visualization and Research Coordinator at The Robert Gordon University, alongside serving as a Trustee for the Elgin Public Museum. Educational qualifications encompass a BSc in Quantity Surveying, a PhD in Value Assessment from Robert Gordon University, and additional credentials in humanities and architectural imagination. Richard Laing is also an adjunct professor at Curtin University and a representative of RICS on the European Construction Technology Platform.
