Oscar Solar is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in leadership and innovation within the fields of engineering and biotechnology. Currently serving as the CEO of the Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering (AC3E) since April 2021, Oscar Solar drives the center's mission to develop technological innovations that enhance industry competitiveness. Previous roles include founding PARACAIDISMO CHILE, leading Magenta Genetics as Partner and CEO, and guiding entrepreneurial initiatives at Hub APTA. With a strong foundation in research and development, Oscar Solar has held pivotal positions at Cells for Cells S.A. and Regenero S.A., as well as in academic institutions such as Universidad de los Andes and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Oscar Solar holds a Master of Science in Biological Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with a Master in Business and Management from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and a degree in Biochemical Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.

The Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering, AC3E, of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María is a scientific research center whose mission is to create knowledge, train advanced human capital and to develop world-class technological innovations. The AC3E is part of the tradition of excellence and leadership in engineering, science and technology that has characterized UTFSM since its founding in 1931. It conducts research and technological developments for large and small companies to increase their competitiveness and improve the efficiency, economy and quality of their processes. The Center bring together a multidisciplinary group of more than 100 people, among which are: researchers, academics, engineers and undergraduate and graduate students. The research activities are organized in 6 lines of research: Control and Automation, Renewable Energies and Power Conversion, Robotics, Biomedical Systems, Electrical Systems and Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis. - AC3E has international award-winning research results, a cutting-edge knowledge that has allowed it to carry out technology transfer projects for national and international companies, and participate in the development of public policies.
